Dr. Barbara Jurim and Dr. Alan Jurim of Jurim Dental Group come from a long history of cosmetic dentistry, as their father holds the U.S. patent for the etched porcelain laminate veneer.  Having grown up in the dental laboratory setting, Drs. Jurim are well-versed in applying advanced dental technologies and techniques to produce superior quality dentistry.

Dr. Barbara Jurim’s Education and Dental Qualifications

Dr. Barbara Jurim of Jurim Dental Group graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wellesley College with a degree in Biochemistry.  Her passion for dentistry led her to New York City, where she attended New York University’s College of Dentistry and graduated valedictorian in 2005.  In order to further her education and offer the highest level of patient care, Dr. Jurim completed the Postgraduate Prosthodontic program at NYUCD in 2008.

Dr. Barbara Jurim is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  Always striving to maintain a working knowledge of the latest industry innovations, Dr. Jurim attends advanced dental training courses and has taught part-time as a prosthodontic clinical associate professor in NYU’s prestigious Implant Clinic. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Barbara Jurim specializes in providing high levels of patient care and comfort when treating difficult cases in restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Alan Jurim’s Education and Dental Qualifications

Dr. Alan Jurim of Jurim Dental Group graduated from New York University’s College of Dentistry and North Shore University Hospital’s general practice residency. Dr. Jurim is further advancing his dental expertise through his studies at The Pankey Institute.  With a dual undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Dr. Jurim is experienced in maintaining and applying the advanced technologies used in reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Alan Jurim is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  Additionally, he has completed his conscious sedation certification in order to offer the highest degree of comfort to patients suffering from dental phobias.

Both Drs. Jurim were just inducted into the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetics after being personally recommended by Dr. Irwin Smigel, considered by many as the godfather of cosmetic dentistry.
